Front End Engineer

 

The Role

Are you interested building category defining web and mobile products?
Do you love to collaborate with thought-leaders in Product, UX, and
Visual Design, to TOGETHER create products our customers and
merchandisers cannot live without? Can you ship it?

Chloe and Isabel is seeking remarkable front end engineers to develop
a new kind of social commerce user experience. With both end consumers
and our merchandiser sales force in mind, you’ll be tackling user
experience challenges far more complex and dynamic than the average
ecommerce platform. While ecommerce experience is appreciated, the
ability to learn and apply new technologies is equally important if
not more so.

This is a salaried full-time position with benefits in the heart of TriBeCa.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be a part of an engineering and product
development team developing and scaling a social commerce platform.
You will be creating innovative technology to help
merchandisers sell products, connect with customers and track sales
performance. You will be a part of creating a new business model and
product that will define an entirely new category.

You will enjoy working with talented people in UX, Visual design and
Product to design and create simple to use, easy-to-understand, and
beautiful interfaces that immerse our customers in the Chloe and
Isabel social commerce world. You’ll be extending our GUI as well as
knocking out prototypes that we can quickly test with customers.

We are looking for people who love thinking creatively and inventing
elegant-yet-innovative interfaces that help the user connect with our
merchandiser, and help merchandisers be better business people.

We’re looking to you to help invent cool and smart UI solutions that
nobody’s tried before.

We’re seeking an experienced engineer who’s smart and has a track
record of gettings things done. We want somebody who cares about doing
things right the
first time and proving new ideas quickly. We’d like you to be able to
wire up the experiences you develop for A/B Testing.

We practice test-driven development and continuous deployment. We use
open source and like people who want to participate in open
development processes. We are passionate about amazingly elegant code.
We are looking for brilliant engineers who want to work with the

  • HTML, Javascript, CSS, AJAX
  • Backbone.js and SASS frameworks
  • Responsive Design
  • Ruby / Rails
  • RESTful API’s
