Arm party!

January 19, 2012

We love this super fun and eclectic trend! Check out some of our favorite blogger’s looks for inspiration, then throw your own!

(Above, from left to right) Our brand coordinator Jordan is a big fan of arm parties. We love these looks — and not just because they are almost all our own C + I bracelets! How do you pull off your own arm party? Stack square or round bangles up your arm — and don’t be afraid to mix metals and/or colors!

Colorful, sparkly arm parties make us happy. These two pictured above are very ‘Chloe,’ don’t ya think? (above left: Displaced Urbanite, right: The Classy Turtle)

A watch is an essential addition to any arm party. Who says that the time should be the only thing displayed on your left wrist? Include tighter bracelet styles that won’t move from in front to behind of your watch, scratching up the surface. Instead, keep a few made from chains, beads, and fabric in the same color scheme either in front (closer to hand) or behind (closer to elbow) and leave the jangly bangles for your other wrist.

Knocked Up Fabulous piled chunky gold on behind her dainty antique watch (above, left), while The Stylish Housewife‘s giant gold Michael Kors watch looks great with the gold accented bracelets in front of it (right).

Whatever you choose to do, stay in your own comfort zone: Isabel’s might try a gold, silver, and rose gold pile on top of a sophisticated white watch, and more daring Chloe’s can layer in cloth bracelets, homemade friendship bracelets, and studded or leather wraps in their arm party. Or you want to spice it up a little — just make it your own! It’s all about showing off your individuality.

Above: Just two of the many elaborate arm parties sported on the regular by blogger The Man Repeller, accessorizer extraordinare and the actual inventor of the term ‘arm party’!
